Angelina Durless

  1. Angelina hated the color of her hair until Vincent Phantomhive commented on it saying it was “like red spider lilies in bloom”. That was possibly the first time in her life she ever thought the color was beautiful.
  2. When she was younger Angelina was a bit shy and awkward. She was this way because she was, at the time, ashamed of her red hair.
  3. Rachel was possibly the person Angelina looked up to most. She loved her older sister dearly and was crushed when she witnessed the fire at the Phantomhive manor. To her not only that it meant possibly losing the man and nephew she loved, but the greatest sister and friend in her world.
  4. The Madam has often had thoughts of Ciel being her own son. when she realizes these thoughts however, she tends to sink into a depression, remembering on how Ciel is her sisters son, and that she cannot have any children of her own.
  5. With the color red, Angelina has always had a love-hate relationship with it. She loved it when her first love admired it, hated it when he married, loved it when she married the Baron, hated it when the manor burnt down, but came to love it again when her nephew returned.
  6. Not long after watching the manor burn down, Angelina fell far from grace. Her sadness enveloped her and she would shut herself away in her room after she would get home from the hospital. Every time a visitor came she would smile for a split second thinking it was her nephew, before being even more crushed that it wasn’t him. This is also around the time she started the “Jack the Ripper” murders and when she met Grell Sutcliff.
  7. The family friend, Lau, was the only one besides Grell who seemed to get through to Angelina when she was in her depressed state. When she wouldn’t leave her room he would either sit outside her doors and speak to her or let himself inside and sit by her bed. After a while he got her to laugh and smile again and was successfully able to get her to attend her regular parties.
  8. One she had recovered from her depression Angelina hung out with Lau more, by this time he was more than just a friend to her, he was her dearest friend. In her mind if he was lost, then she might as well be empty herself.
  9. When Ciel returned, Angelina was very happy but also a bit shocked. Her nephew had returned, but with Sebastian, a mysterious butler in black. This took her aback, but she knew Ciel was safe in Sebastian’s hands.
  10. Known for being a calm woman, except at parties, the Madam is better known for being one to leave bruises when very angered, which isn’t very often unless you harm her niece, nephew, or Ran Mao and Lau.
  11. When in bakeries, Angelina will often think back to when she and Rachel were younger. They would get scolded for getting into the sweets so much that their mother told them that the sweets were made of either porcelain, or sculpted. The sweets already looking delicate looked even more so fragile and the girls stopped eating them, except when they needed an occasional midnight snack. Often Angelina shares this story with Ciel and Elizabeth.
  12. While Angelina is happy for her friends and relatives who have babies, she can’t help but feel a bit hurt and jealous. She would never let them know that though of course, her pride can’t be shut down like that. The woman makes up for it by asking to hold the child or growing close to them like she had done with Ciel and Lizzy.
  13. Two days before her death Angelina met Ronald Knox, a reaper acquainted with Grell. The man warned her of her death trying not to scare her, but Angelina just leaving from who knows what, was skittish enough to be frightened. Needless to say that after that little scene she tried to forget about it. His words of worry were still in her mind, even when her life was ended by her butler.(Credit and many thanks goes to mischievous-shinigami for the “Break Me” post :) <3)
  14. Dead!Angelina AU: Angelina meets young Alois in the afterlife. The boy appeared before her a bit confused and in tears. The woman spoke to him and comforted him best she could. When it seemed he was ready to talk, the first thing Angelina asked him was, “Did you come alone?” She took his tears as an answer. To her they meant, “I’m alone…?” Ever since that encounter Angelina has stuck by Alois’s side trying to help him find Claude, Luca, and Hannah, and has never once thought of leaving him alone.
  15. Angelina is deathly terrified of riding in carriages even though she doesn’t show it. The same goes for roads as well, her husbands death damaged this part of her. She can seem really strong but the slightest bump could send her into a panic attack about crashing.
  16. Though it was normal for girls of 16 to be bearing children in her time, Angelina always thought it odd and a bit disgusting that it was expected of them.
  17.  While in her depression of losing what she thought was everything, a sudden thought flew through her mind that she might as well lose herself. She had opened the window in her bedroom and stood on the windowsill about ready to leap. Never succeeded obviously, Lau was on a daily visit and stopped her literally wrapping his arms around her and pulling her down.
  18. The female side of Jack the Ripper, is a pure lesbian. Before slaughtering her victims she had her way with them. They didn’t, not like it. Same went for Angelina. A bit morbid she was in this way, but it was worth it for her.(crack canon)
